Galileo was born in Pisa, Italy in the late 1500’s. He eventually became a mathematics teacher despite having no degree, and it was here that his famous future was first hinted. Galileo the math teacher made his first step into Galileo Galilei astronomy when he demonstrated to his students that Aristotle was wrong about object of different weights falling at different speeds. He wasn’t invited back to teach, and so moved to a position at the University of Padua. Galileo contributions to astronomy would come to fruition there.

In Padua, Galileo invented the compass and began studying physics. He discovered the law of falling bodies and the parabolic path of projectiles. These became very important in later Galileo Galilei astronomy. But at the time Galileo claimed to have no interest in the subject other than that he believed the work of Copernicus rather than that of Aristotle and Ptolemy. Copernicus had proposed that the solar system is heliocentric, that is that the planets rotate around the sun. Aristotle and Ptolemy held that the solar system was centered around the Earth, and even the sun rotated around our home. The model Copernicus proposed for the order of planets around the sun has been proven. And today we know Copernicus was completely correct.

Shortly after the spyglass was invented in Holland Galileo decided to make his own for peering at the night sky.  This telescope magnified objects 20 times, which was enough to make out craters and mountains on the moon.  Galileo also determined that individual stars made up what was called the Milky Way.  He went on to discover Jupiter’s four largest moons.  These discoveries brought him fame enough to earn the position of Florence’s court mathematician.  Now he could devote full time to his studies.  It took him only 9 months to discover Saturn’s phases.  This was another nail in the coffin for Ptolemy’s and Aristotle’s ideas about the solar system.

Galileo most disagreed with Aristotle.  Galileo found a great deal of support with other modern scientists who wrote of his work.  But because Aristotle’s work elevated man to key position in all the universe, the church supported his work. In 1614 a priest in Florence denounced Galileo Galilei Astronomy. Galileo responded by writing a letter proclaiming the bible irrelevant to science.  In 1616 the church censored Galileo’s books, and a cardinal instructed him to stop teaching that the Earth moves.  Respecting the church’s authority, or perhaps only its ability to enforce it, Galileo did as he was told, turning back to other interests.  It is said that Galileo had one comment after signing an agreement that the Earth does not move.  “I would say here something that was heard from an ecclesiastic of the most eminent degree; “And yet … it moves.”

Incredible as it may be, there is about 90% of our brains which go unused. Just imagine the possibilities which would be opened up by being able to use this vast untapped potential source of mindpower. The possibilities are hard to imagine, but all of us have a lot of psychic potential which is going unused and the results of using this could be amazing.

In fact it has long been thought by scientists that people with all types of extra sensory and psychic powers have these powers because they are able to access different parts of their mind from other people. It seems that they were either born with this increased mindpower or have managed to develop this mindpower in later life.

How these abilities are developed and used is not entirely understood yet, but there is still research being done into discovering how these psychic abilities and mindpower can be developed in order to realize our true potential and change our reality.

In fact recent scientific studies are starting to verify what the ancient religions have been saying for thousands of years, that reality is merely a product of your mind, and if you change the way you think, then you can change your reality – mindpower is in fact the only reality!

Affirmations eventually sink into the subconscious mind when repeated. Your subconscious then influences your behavior to bring about the desired result.

So just take this a stage further and realize that anything you want to change will change; not just your behavioral habits but absolutely everything in your reality. This is mindpower!

Visualization:- You can also develop your mindpower using visualization. Visualization consists of closing your eyes and picturing the things you want to happen in your mind’s eye. Your subconscious mind responds to the images which you focus your thoughts on and begins using your mindpower to make them a reality. You can visualize anything you want and with practice, you’ll increase your mindpower and make it possible.

Visualization is a powerful technique for building up mindpower and bringing latent psychic abilities to the surface. When you visualize being able to use your psychic abilities, they will be strengthened and your mindpower will be developed so that you’ll have access to your natural abilities.

Hypnosis:- Hypnosis is another well known way of communicating with your subconscious mind and helping to develop mindpower. If you visit a professional hypnotist or hypnotherapist they will start by making sure you are totally relaxed and then offer suggestions to your subconscious mind which it will remember when you wake up.

You can also use self hypnosis by listening to a recording of a hypnotherapy session. Not only s this less costly than seeing a hypnotherapist, but you can use this recording over and over again as needed.

Brainwave entrainment:- Brainwave entrainment uses new breakthroughs in audio technology. Certain frequencies attune your brainwaves resulting in many different benefits such as pain relief and improved memory.

Other frequencies can assist you to get into a state of meditation very quickly to allow communication with your subconscious mind and therefore the development of your mindpower to take place.

Other frequencies can stimulate the parts of your body known as the chakra energy centers. There is a chakra in the center of your forehead called the third eye chakra which is responsible for psychic powers.

Each and every one of us has psychic abilities naturally. These abilities normally stay in the subconscious mind and are not used. However, with the right techniques, your mindpower can be developed to the point where these latent abilities come to the surface and can be used.

One of the most important current events in astronomy NASA discussed in November 2008 was the late month launch of the shuttle Endeavour. Another astronomy current event discussed by NASA in November was a staggering discovery made by the Hubble Telescope. For the first time in history, a telescope took a visible light image of a planet orbiting another star. Back in the early 1980s an infrared telescope called IRAS saw dust around the star.  That was a tell tale sign that planets might orbit this star located about 25 light years away from our own little planet.

In astronomy, current events in astronomy can cover the past.  Images of the moon taken in 1966 and 1967 are being restored in the Lunar Orbiter Image Recovery Project.  Much of the data was removed from the tape drives in the 1980’s, but stored as analogue images and only partially restored.  NASA has already shown off some of these images.

Before you begin to learn how to remote view you will need to take the time to learn how to be able to do two other things that will greatly assist you, visualization and meditation are extremely useful. Remote viewing is essentially an out of body experience, a paranormal or psychic experience, and being able to meditate and visualize will help you to be more receptive to it. Learning to do these will help you to relax and help you to learn and perfect your ability to remote view.

To learn remote viewing well, you have to devote time for regular practice. Psychic skills take practice, just like any other kinds of skills. You’ll have to dedicate time and effort, but the end result will be worthwhile.

You will learn how to quite your mind and then focus your concentration intensely on a person, place or thing that is in another area than where you are currently. It is the ability to perceive, view or see something from a distance.
